Ukraine discussed the export of Ukrainian grain with Bulgaria


The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Nikolay Denkov the issue of export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

“The first conversation with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Nikolay Denkov. We appreciate the active position of the Bulgarian government to strengthen support for Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor,” Shmyhal said.

The Ukrainian politician thanked the Bulgarian government for the provision of military aid and readiness to participate in the practical implementation of the points of the President of Ukraine’s Peace Formula, in particular regarding food security. In particular, Shmyhal and Denkov discussed the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

“Russia is trying to block the Black Sea Grain Corridor. We will be grateful to the Bulgarian side for assistance at the level of the European Union in the expansion of the European corridors of solidarity and the removal of any restrictions on the export of grain,” Shmyhal emphasized.

Shmyhal also added that Ukraine expects further strengthening of cooperation between the countries. In particular, Shmyhal proposed establishing a permanent intergovernmental dialogue and intensifying the work of joint commissions.
