Ukraine expects negotiations on the expansion of the Istanbul Agreements

Ukrainian embassy in Turkey plans to discuss the expansion and extension of the “grain corridor”.

Ukraine plans to expand the list of goods that can be exported from Ukrainian ports as part of the “Пrain agreement”. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey, Vasyl Bodnar.

According to him, on average, 8 to 13 bulkers with agricultural products leave the ports of Ukraine per day, despite Russia’s attempts to slow down the process of inspecting ships.

“I hope that in the near future we will have negotiations with the Turkish side about the details of continuing the “grain initiative” and improving the work of the Joint Coordination Center. We are also already raising questions about the possibility of expanding the range of export of goods from Ukraine in the future,” emphasized Vasyl Bodnar.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, 7.38 million tons of agricultural products have already been exported since the first ship with Ukrainian food left.

USM previously reported that the issue of expanding the export corridor in the Black Sea for other types of cargo was discussed at the meeting of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the IMO in Odesa port.
