Ukraine exported 100,000 tons of grain through the port of Croatia

Since 2022, it was possible to export about 100,000 tons of Ukrainian agricultural products through the port of Rijeka (Croatia).

“Ukrainian grain (corn and wheat) began to be exported from the port in northern Croatia in May 2022. During this period, it was possible to export about 100,000 tons of Ukrainian products,” said the head of the Rijeka port grain terminal, Marino Klarych, writes APC-Inform.

Ukrainian grain is delivered to Croatia by rail through Hungary. Currently, the port of Rijeka has a transshipment capacity of 1 million tons of grain. Officials are also trying to expand export capacity.

It is worth noting that the Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko and the Prime Minister of Croatia Andriy Plenkovich during a recent meeting in Bucharest agreed to increase the export of Ukrainian products through Croatian ports.
