Ukraine exported $13 billion worth of grain to countries of the Global South, — Vysotskyi

Since 2022, Ukraine has exported over 66 million tons of grain worth over $13 billion to the countries of the Global South.

Ukraine remains one of the key suppliers of food to the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Vysotsky during the Crimea Global conference.

In total, since 2022, Ukrainian farmers have exported 66 million tons of grain to these markets with a total value of over $13 billion.

“Ukraine is a key element of global food security and a reliable partner for the countries of the Global South. Despite the war, missile attacks and attempts by Russia to block exports, we ensure stable supplies of grain,” Vysotsky emphasized.

According to him, more than 40% of all Ukrainian grain exports go to the countries of the Global South. China, Egypt, Indonesia, Algeria and Tunisia remain Ukraine’s largest partners.

Vysotsky emphasized that Ukraine is moving from exclusively raw material exports to the development of joint solutions in the areas of processing, logistics, green energy and digital technologies, which strengthens its position as a reliable participant in the global agricultural market.
