Ukraine exported 21.5 million tons of grain since the beginning of July
Since the beginning of the grain season (as of December 26), Ukraine has exported almost 21.5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.
The total volume of grain exports in the current marketing year is 32% lower than last season — 31.575 million tons in 2020/21 MR, Elevatorist reports with reference to data from the Federal Tax Service.
The export of wheat, barley and rye is significantly behind last year’s figures. In particular, Ukraine exported:
• 7.997 million tons of wheat (against 15.716 million tons last season),
• barley — 1.592 million tons (against 5.196 million tons),
• rye — 12.4 thousand tons (against 121 thousand tons).
Exports of corn and flour this year exceed last season’s figures. In total, since the beginning of the MR, 11.806 million tons of corn were sent to foreign markets, compared to 10.304 in 2021.
67 thousand tons of flour were shipped against 59 last year. Growth is noted both in the volume of export of wheat flour and in the volume of flour from other types of grain.
