Ukraine exported 4.3 million tons of agricultural products in August
In August, Ukraine exported 16% more agricultural products than a month ago.
In August 2023, 4.3 million tons of agricultural products were sent for export. This indicator is 16% more than at the end of July. This was reported by the press service of UCAB.
It is worth noting that not all products managed to cross the border, as a significant amount of transport is still waiting in queues for departure. Despite Russia’s shelling of the port infrastructure, the Danube remained the most productive channel in August — 64% of exports.
In general, the following were exported in August:
• grain crops: 2.3 million tons (wheat — 52%, corn — 39%, barley — 9%);
• oil crops: 755.4 thousand tons (rape — 94%, soybeans — 4% and sunflower seeds — 1%);
• vegetable oils — 548.9 thousand tons (sunflower oil — 81%, rapeseed oil — 17%, soybean oil — 2%);
• cakes 367.3 thousand tons (sunflower – 98%, soybean – 2%).
Recently, USM wrote that since September, the Danube ports have been losing liquidity for the sale of grain – as a result of the shelling of the port infrastructure by the invaders.
