Ukraine exported over 200 thousand tons of soybeans in December

The largest share of soybeans, 61%, was exported by sea, and Turkey remained the key sales market.
This was reported by analysts at Spike Brokers.
Total exports amounted to 202.6 thousand tons, and logistically it was concentrated on sea routes, which accumulated 61% of the volumes (123.6 thousand tons). Brokers added that the bulk of sea deliveries were directed to Turkey, which remains a key sales market for Ukrainian soybeans
Rail transportation formed 36% of exports (72.9 thousand tons) and provided the main flow of products to European Union countries, in particular to large processing centers in the Netherlands, Germany and France.
Road transport provided only 3% of exports (6.1 thousand tons) and was used mainly for short routes to neighboring EU countries.
Soybean prices decreased in all directions, in particular, sea exports showed a decrease of $3, the processing direction – by $2.
The spot price index of GMO soybeans with delivery CPT-port for export in the 30-day horizon decreased to $422 excluding VAT. The processing direction decreased to $457 including VAT.
