Ukraine fulfilled the agreements regarding the unblocking of the border with Poland
The Ukrainian side fulfilled its part of the agreements set out in the action plan regarding the unblocking of checkpoints on the border with Poland.
“The plan we agreed on has been fulfilled by Ukraine, and we have no questions today. The question is what else the protesters demand from the Polish government,” Deputy Minister of Reconstruction Serhiy Derkach said.
Derkach emphasized that the number of bilateral shipments from the Polish side, compared to the period before the full-scale invasion, decreased by only 5%. Therefore, according to the official, the protesters’ calls that Ukrainian carriers have completely “killed” the Polish transport market are untrue.
At the same time, the impossibility of canceling the agreement on the liberalization of transportation was confirmed by the Polish government and the EU.
It should be noted that on January 6, in Poland, the traffic of trucks on the road to the “Medyka-Shehyni” highway, which the protesters tried to block again on January 4, was restored.
USM recently wrote that the European Commission demanded that Poland to lift the embargo on Ukrainian grain.
