Ukraine has exported a record amount of rapeseed since 2009

In December 2022, rapeseed exports from Ukraine amounted to 213,000 tons.
An unusually high rate of rapeseed exports from Ukraine was recorded in December 2022. During this period, it was possible to export 213,000 tons, which was the maximum for the reporting period since 2009, APC-Inform reports.
It was possible to achieve such an indicator as a result of the record production of rapeseed in Ukraine last year.
“Our estimate of the oilseed crop in 2022 was raised again in January to 3.44 million tons (+1% to the December estimate; +9% to 2021). The estimate of exports in 2022/23 MR was adjusted to 3.24 million tons (+2%; +19%),” said the agency’s oil market analyst Svitlana Kyrychok.
In total, during the first half of the 22/23 season, Ukraine exported 3.06 million tons of rapeseed. This is 16% higher than exports for the same period of the previous season and is also an all-time record for exports for a season.
