Ukraine has prepared an insurance fund of UAH 20 billion for vessels of the Grain Agreement
Ukraine allocated UAH 20 billion to guarantee the financial security of ships transporting Ukrainian grain through the “grain corridor”.
Even if Russia does not guarantee security and is against the continuation of the Grain Agreement, ships will be able to enter the ports of Greater Odessa.
This was stated by a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, Dmytro Solomchuk, at a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukrinform Media Center.
According to him, there are shipowners who are ready to enter anyway, and Ukraine will guarantee their financial security with this UAH 20 billion insurance fund.
Solomchuk noted that the leaders of various countries are currently negotiating the extension of the Grain Agreement after July 18. He believes that the decision will be made a day or two before the end of the agreement.
