Ukraine imposes sanctions against shipowners who steal Ukrainian grain

The sanctions package covers Russian shipowners, as well as captains of vessels that illegally exported Ukrainian grain.
Two more sanctions decrees have been published and added to the sanctions register, reported the presidential commissioner for sanctions policy Vladyslav Vlasyuk.
The package “Asset thieves from the TOT” sanctions 39 individuals and 23 legal entities engaged in the illegal export of Ukrainian grain through occupied seaports.
Among them:
• LLC “TD Idealprod” – involved in the export of up to 650 thousand tons of grain from the TOT (temporarily occupied territories) to Egypt;
• LLC “Crane Marine Contractor” – owns the vessels “Mykhail Nenashev”, “Matros Shevchenko” and “Matros Pozynych”, which exported grain from granaries to the TOT of Ukraine;
• previously sanctioned by the US are the captains of the “ZAFAR” vessel, which exported Ukrainian grain from the Crimean TOT to Yemen in 2024, Yuriy Belyakov and Vyacheslav Vidanov.
“All these sanctions will be synchronized with partners. And we are moving forward, there are plans,” Vladyslav Vlasyuk emphasized.
In particular, this package also includes companies registered under the laws of the Russian Federation that have appropriated the capacities of Ukrainian enterprises and are illegally developing deposits there. The third package of sanctions covers the heads of Russian museums responsible for the appropriation of Ukrainian museum treasures to the TOT.
As previously reported by USM, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed NSDC sanctions on captains and companies of the Russian shadow fleet. The corresponding decree was published on the president’s website on August 3.
