Ukraine is raising funds for the world’s first Naval Drone Fleet

The fundraising for a fleet of naval drones for the maritime defense of the state was launched in Ukraine.
Since February 24, the russians have fired more than 4,500 missiles at Ukraine, of which 20% were from the direction of the sea.
Ukraine had nothing to oppose these attacks, because the Ukrainian fleet lost 80% of its ships after the occupation of Crimea in 2014. But on October 29 of this year, everything changed — air and sea drones attacked russian ships in Sevastopol.
Small and fast unmanned boats hit three ships, in particular, the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Makarov. This is the first naval attack in history that was carried out exclusively by unmanned means, the UNITED24 platform said.
As a result of the attack, russia lost its undeniable advantage on the water.
Ukraine has started assembling the first fleet of naval drones. It will protect the waters of Ukrainian seas and peaceful cities from cruise missiles launched by russian troops from their ships.
The marine drone is a unique and classified Ukrainian development. One such device costs UAH 10 million. Currently, Ukraine needs 100 such unmanned boats.
“You and I will name one of the boats at the gathering personally, and I think its name is obvious on such a historic day,” wrote one of the organizers of the gathering, blogger Ihor Lachenkov, meaning that the boat will be named in honor of Kherson, liberated from the occupiers. November, 11th.
