Ukraine offers the UN to expand the term of “Grain Agreement”
Ukraine is ready to increase the export of agricultural products, therefore, the UN proposed to extend the term of the “Grain Agreement”.
“We discussed the implementation of our grain export initiative with Mr. Guterres. We agreed that the initiative should not only be preserved, not only protected against any attempts to disrupt it, but also expanded,” said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a video address to the citizens of Ukraine.
The President said that Ukraine is ready to significantly increase the export of agricultural products to the countries that need them and to “strengthen” cooperation with the UN for humanitarian purposes and assistance to such countries as Somalia, Ethiopia, etc.
We would like to remind you that earlier the head of state stated that russian federation may try to disrupt Ukraine’s grain initiative.
“In Moscow, another false statement was made regarding a very important achievement of Ukraine and our partners – the restoration of our seaborne grain export. It is obvious that russia is preparing the ground to try to derail the grain initiative. We inform our partners about this,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
If we talk only about African countries, Ukrainian grain has already been exported to Algeria, Ethiopia, Egypt, Libya, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan and Tunisia.
As previously reported by USM, the president of the terrorist country once again insisted that Ukrainian grain is allegedly not exported to the countries suffering from a food crisis.
