Ukraine plans to send over 300 sailors abroad

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to parliament bill No. 14059, which will allow the deployment of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to other countries.

In particular, the corvette “Hetman Ivan Mazepa” with a crew of over 100 people is planned to be sent to Turkey, writes “Militarnyi”.

Five mine countermeasure ships (“Cherkasy”, “Chernihiv”, “Mariupol”, “Melitopol”, “Genichesk”) with crews of up to 39 sailors each, as well as a mine countermeasure headquarters – about 20 servicemen, are to leave for the UK.

The adoption of the law is expected to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities, ensure personnel training, and promote the development of new equipment received from partners.

Earlier, USM reported that Ukraine has received 90 ships and boats from partners since 2022.
