Ukraine presented its developments for the first time at the underwater mine clearance forum in Germany

At the Kiel Munition Clearance Week, the Ukrainian delegation presented developments and reminded of the need for demining of water areas.
Ukraine took part in the Kiel Munition Clearance Week for the first time – an international forum dedicated to demining of sea areas and protection of critical infrastructure. This was reported by the Ukrainian Council of Gunsmiths.
The event was held in the German city of Kiel and brought together representatives of NATO, the European Commission, scientific institutions, armies and the defense industry.

The Ukrainian delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Defense, as well as the Toloka company, which presented its own underwater mine clearance technology – a solution ready for use. The stand of the Ukrainian manufacturer became one of the most visited at the forum.
A separate panel discussion was devoted to the challenges facing Ukraine in the maritime industry. Among them are over 13,500 km² of potentially contaminated waters, over 8,000 documented environmental crimes, destroyed port logistics and billions in damages. According to estimates, the previous environmental losses already exceed 80 billion euros.

“Underwater demining is one of the most complex and expensive areas of security. For Ukraine, it is critically necessary. Without cleaning the seas, neither the restoration of ports nor full-fledged exports are possible,” the Ukrainian Council of Gunsmiths emphasizes.
Today, there are over 100 registered mine action operators in Ukraine, but only a few have certification for work on water. The forum participants discussed the need to strengthen international support for large-scale cleaning of the Black and Azov Seas.

The day before, USM wrote that the Defense Intelligence Group 13 unit received the latest Magura W6 drone from a Ukrainian bank.
