Ukraine received ferry boats from Sweden

Sweden handed Ukraine 6 boats that can be used as pontoon crossings as part of humanitarian aid.

The boats handed over by Sweden are the first such special vehicles that civilian road workers received. Previously, they were used exclusively by military engineers, the Ministry for Communities , Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine reported.

When laid out, the pontoon crossings are 8 meters long and can be used to restore transport connections in liberated areas.

In particular, thanks to them, it will be possible to establish a stable supply of humanitarian aid to the de-occupied communities and to establish the logistics of the supply of products for the restoration of economic activity in the communities.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has received temporary bridges from the Czech Republic, France and Norway. Some of the structures have already been installed, they are functioning in the de-occupied territories of Kyiv region, Chernihiv region and Kharkiv region.

In general, since February 24, 80 temporary crossings have been arranged in Ukraine, 3 more crossings are currently in the stage of arrangement.
