Ukraine received UAH 2.2 billion in revenue from seized assets of russian federation and Belarus


Ukraine has already received more than UAH 2.2 billion in revenues, thanks to the assets of russian federation and Belarus, which were seized by the Bureau of Economic Security.

“The property of russian federation and the Republic of Belarus, seized by the employees of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, already brings income to our state. It is about rolling stock and commodity values,” the BEB reported.

In particular, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” received UAH 1,3 billion in revenue from the commercial use of seized railway cars and containers that belonged to russian and Belarusian companies.

Also recently, the National Agency for Search and Asset Management (ARMA) sold another batch of seized ammonia. So far, three lots have already been sold for a total of over UAH 910 million.

Thus, the state received more than 2.2 billion hryvnias of income thanks to the seized assets of enemy countries.

The aforementioned assets — 17,800 railcars, as well as more than 42,000 tons of ammonia — were seized and seized by BEB detectives from enterprises directly or indirectly connected to companies or citizens of russia and Belarus.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, within the framework of pre-trial investigations in criminal proceedings on facts of violations in the economic sphere, initiates the seizure of assets of russia and Belarus (natural and legal entities). Currently, BEB detectives are conducting pre-trial investigations in 22 criminal proceedings.
