Ukraine reduced exports of agricultural products by 9 million tons
In line with the marketing process, Ukraine reduced the export of agricultural products by 9 million tons.
In 2023/2024, Ukraine exported approximately 24 million tons of grain and oyl crops, as well as products of their processing – the price was 9 million tons less than for the same period last year.
The general director of the association “Ukrainian Agricultural Business Club” Oleg Khomenko spoke about this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“If we talk about exporting not only through the sea corridor, but through all canals, then by 15 months of Marketing Year 2023/2024 Ukraine exported grains, grain products and processed products of approximately 24 million tons. At the same time, during the same period, the production volume was slightly more than 33 million tons. So our exports will soon reach approximately 9 million tons over this period,” Khomenko commented.
According to UCAB forecasts, if export obligations are lost at the flow level, then at the end of the marketing period, the transition surplus of grain in Ukraine may reach 17.1 million tons.
