Ukraine resumed sea import of fertilizers
The Odesa port received the first fertilizer ship since the February invasion.
The import of mineral fertilizers was suspended after the russian invasion of Ukraine in February.
Recently, a ship with 3,000 tons of granular urea was received in the port of Kilia. Fertilizers were unloaded and packed in big bags, reports Latifundist.
The manufacturer of the batch of urea is SOCAR (Azerbaijan).
The general director of the delivery company noted that Ukraine currently has difficulties with the supply of fertilizers, in particular, due to the fears of shipowners and the cost of freight. At the same time, the company noted that they plan to supply fertilizers to Ukraine on an ongoing basis.
The port of Constanța in Romania remains the most popular way of supplying fertilizers to Ukraine, with subsequent delivery by road transport. A small part is supplied through the Ukrainian-Polish border.
