Ukraine returned 22 Navy officers from captivity
On April 10, Ukraine returned another 100 defenders from russian captivity. Among them are 22 servicemen of the Naval Forces.
22 Navy servicemen, 24 National Guardsmen, 22 border guards, 21 Armed Forces servicemen and 11 territorial defense defenders were returned from captivity.
In particular, two Ukrainian defenders of the Odesa Marine Brigade were returned to Ukraine – the defenders of Zmiinyi Island and Chongara. Marines were captured by the occupiers at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russian federation on the territory of Ukraine. This was reported on Facebook by the 35th separate brigade of marines named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrogradskyi.
All liberated defenders took part in battles in the Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia and Sumy directions. Among them are defenders of Mariupol, Bakhmut, and Gostomel, as well as defenders of Chongar, Zmiiny Island, ZNPP, and ChNPP.
We will remind, on November 24, 50 Ukrainian soldiers returned returned from russian captivity. Among the 6 released border guards, three are defenders of Zmiiny Island.
