Ukraine sent wheat to Pakistan as part of the Grain from Ukraine initiative

Ukraine continues to supply food aid as part of humanitarian initiatives: Pakistan received 1,850 tons of wheat.
This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.
Ukraine transferred 1,850 tons of Ukrainian wheat to Pakistan as part of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative. The donors were Spain and the Czech Republic. The assistance is provided as part of the expansion of the Grain from Ukraine program into Food from Ukraine.
According to estimates by the UN World Food Program (WFP), the supply will support about 26 thousand people.
“The transferred grain is already helping the affected communities of Pakistan, and subsequent supplies will strengthen the country’s readiness for the challenges of the monsoon season and form a reserve for an operational response,” said Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Denys Bashlyk.
Earlier, USM reported that Bangladesh received 3 thousand tons of oil as part of Grain from Ukraine.
