Ukraine transported more than 40 million tons of grain through “Lanes of Solidarity”.

Lanes of Solidarity” allowed Ukraine to export more than 40 million tons of grain, and this figure is growing.

More than 40 million metric tons of agricultural products were transported by Ukraine on the “Lanes of Solidarity”, said the official representative of the EU foreign policy service, Peter Stano, in an interview with “Suspilne”.

“The ‘Lanes of Solidarity’ were very successful, they allowed the transportation of more than 40 million metric tons of agricultural products, mainly grain. And this number is growing, because the “ways of solidarity” are still working. It is very important to see that they allowed to export more than with the help of the Black Sea Grain Initiative,” Stano noted.

At the same time, he noted that in the absence of normal navigation in the Black Sea, “Lanes of Solidarity ” is only a temporary solution.

“We are trying to do everything possible, because it helps Ukraine and people all over the world who depend on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products. Therefore, we are also thinking about other ways in which we can support Ukraine, how we can increase the volume of supplies, how we can reduce the cost, how we can increase speed and efficiency,” said the EU spokesperson.

USM previously reported that Romania emphasized the importance of “solidarity corridors” against the background of Russia’s withdrawal from the Grain Agreement.
