A meeting of the IGC was held in London, as a result of which Ukraine was re-elected to the Administrative Committee of the IGC for 2024-2025, AgroPolit reports.

According to People’s Deputy Stepan Chernyavskyi, representatives of grain-producing countries and grain-importing countries were present at the meeting. The deputy reported that they discussed the impact of the war in Ukraine on ensuring food security in the world.

The Ukrainian side emphasized the balanced policy of the Ukrainian government in global trade and the stability of the national agricultural sector.

Chernyavsky also said that the delegation of the Russian Federation did not take part in the discussion, but only recorded the positions of the participating countries.

Earlier, USM reported that at the Peace Summit, Ukraine’s position on port protection was supported. Leaders of countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America have confirmed that full-scale war has caused food prices to rise in their countries.
