Ukraine will expand the scope of free trade with EFTA countries
Ukraine and 4 member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) have begun revising trade agreements between the states.
Ukraine revised a number of agreements with EFTA countries (Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). These are free trade agreements with member states and agricultural agreements with Norway, Iceland and Switzerland. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
“The revision of the Agreement is only one of the steps in the development of economic relations between our countries. Another step is the involvement of international business in the reconstruction and restoration of Ukraine,” commented Economy Minister Yulia Svyridenko.
The new edition of the Agreement should include new chapters on small and medium-sized enterprises, trade and sustainable development, electronic commerce and technical cooperation.
For its part, Ukraine is interested in the maximum liberalization of customs duty rates and preferential duties, as well as non-tariff measures for all goods.
