Ukraine will issue agricultural export licenses after agreement with Poland

The Ukrainian government has introduced a procedure for the verification of four agricultural crops. Now, licenses for their export will be issued upon agreement with the Polish side.

This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, writes RBC-Ukraine.

“Today, Ukrainian grain does not enter the Polish market. Our government has introduced a verification procedure for four agricultural crops — corn, rapeseed, sunflower and wheat. Export of these categories does not take place without a license,” said Denys Shmyhal.

He also added that currently Ukraine does not issue such permits. They will be issued only with the joint agreement of the Polish government.

According to him, this is the first element of five points of cooperation with the Polish side.

As previously reported by USM, on March 28, Ukraine and Poland held discussions on unblocking the border. Officials and representatives of specialized associations were involved in the negotiations.
