Ukraine will provide financial guarantees for the vessels of the Grain Agreement

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Procedure for providing guarantees for compensation for damage caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Guarantees will be provided to charterers, operators and/or owners of sea vessels and inland navigation vessels flying the flag of Ukraine and the flags of foreign countries.

As the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnichuk, said, compensation will be issued in case of damage during the stay of vessels in the territorial waters of Ukraine, when such vessels are headed for cargo transportation to/from open sea ports of Ukraine.

Earlier, USM reported that the Odesa port infrastructure was hit by debris as a result of air combat. A fire broke out.
