Ukrainian cadets, together with their Polish colleagues, master the skills of navigation, astro-navigation, hydrometeorology and maneuvering. Also, Ukrainians study the organization of ship service according to NATO standards and the basic technical equipment of the ship, and as a bonus, they improve their English.

The training ship “ORP Wodnik” is designed for long voyages and training trips. Thousands of Polish military sailors studied there.

In 1991, the ship served in the waters of the Persian Gulf as a hospital ship. For this, in September 1991, the crew members received the medal “For the Liberation of Kuwait” from the King of Saudi Arabia.

Previously, USM reported that Ukrainian sailors practice on the training sailing ship “ORP Iskra” of the Naval Academy of the Republic of Poland in Gdynia.
