Ukrainian corn is losing ground: exports decreased by 5%

Despite the overall growth in grain exports, corn supplies are showing a decline compared to the same period last year.
Exports of grains and legumes from Ukraine in the 2024/25 MY amounted to 24.2 million tons, which is 8.7% more than last year. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Elevatorist пише writes.
By crop, as of January 20, exports look like this:
• Rye — 10.8 thousand tons (almost 11 times more);
• Barley — 2 million tons (+58.8%);
• Wheat — 10.3 million tons (+18.5%);
• Corn — 11.4 million tons (-5%).
At the same time, shipments of wheat flour decreased by 21.1%.
The day before, USM reported a significant increase in prices for barley, which overtook corn. Demand for barley has been boosted by buyers at ports seeking to secure volumes for planned deliveries.
