Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in Tatarstan (subject of the Russian Federation). The drones flew over 1,200 kilometers to the target.
The “TANECO” refinery in the Russian Republic of Tatarstan was attacked by the SBU and the State Security Service during a joint operation, reports “Ukrinform” with reference to sources.
According to the source, in the city of Nizhnyokamsk, a drone hit the primary processing plant, the capacity of which is 8 million tons of oil. As a result, a fire broke out at the refinery.
The plant in Tatarstan is one of the five largest refineries in Russia.
Earlier, USM reported that Russia increased its purchases of gasoline in Belarus amid drone attacks on oil refineries.
Since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian drones have carried out more than 10 effective attacks on Russian oil refineries and oil storage facilities.
