Ukrainian farmers have already received more than 6,000 grain sleeves

As of November 8, almost 270 farmers have received more than 6,000 sleeves from FAO.

So far, aid has been given to farmers from Volyn, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports. In the coming days, distribution will begin in the rest of the regions.

“In general, 1,488 Ukrainian agricultural producers will receive 25,401 sleeves allocated to them – within the first stage of distribution of temporary grain storage equipment. The strategy for supporting grain storage was developed jointly by the FAO and the Ministry of Agricultural Policy with a plan to ensure 25% of the national grain storage deficit, which amounts to 16 million tons,” the ministry said in a statement.
