The terrorist country spent about $3 million on this attack.
On July 21, two Russian Kalibr missiles hit the granaries of one of the agricultural companies in Odesa.
A third rocket hit the same enterprise and damaged agricultural and rescue equipment.
It is known that enemy rockets also destroyed 100 tons of peas and 20 tons of barley.
How much money did the Russian Federation spend on shelling?
USM tried to roughly calculate how much it cost Russia to destroy granaries and 120 tons of Ukrainian grain.
According to data from open sources, the price of one Kalibr sea-based cruise missile is about $980,000 for a domestic customer, and $6.5 million for export. Russia itself produces these missiles, so the launch of three Kalibrs cost it approximately $2.94 million.
And what losses did the Ukrainian company suffer from the missile attack?
Russian missiles destroyed 120 tons of grain: 100 tons of peas and 20 tons of barley.
A ton of yellow peas costs UAH 8,000/ton, according to Tripoli (we chose the highest price on the list), that is, $215/ton at the exchange rate of UAH 37.15/$1. Based on these figures, 100 tons of lost peas cost $21,500.
The cost of one ton of barley is UAH 5,450/ton, according to Tripoli ($146.6/ton). Thus, the company lost 20 tons of barley worth $2.9 thousand.
The Russians also destroyed the company’s grain warehouses, in what quantity is unknown.
The construction of a 10 m by 21 m granary with a height of 5 m and a capacity of 714 m3 will cost approximately UAH 258,000 ($6.9 thousand).
Suppose that the Russian Federation destroyed two such hangars in Odesa. Then their price will be $13.8 thousand.
The calculations are approximate and superficial, because specialized specialists would take into account the cost of maintenance of the missile carrier, fuel, etc., as well as the future losses of the agricultural enterprise from the temporary loss of part of the capacities, the cost of legal support and many other factors.
But, previously, Russia spent at least $2.94 million to destroy $38,200 worth of granaries and grain in Ukraine.
On the one hand, this demonstrates the desperation of Russia in its attempts to cut off Ukraine from exports and cause an economic and food crisis in order to impose its conditions on the world. However, we see that Russia does not spare expensive missiles to attack one object with grain, which means that it has enough money and weapons to continue terrorizing Ukraine for a long time.
