Ukrainian Navy spokesman comments on strike on Russian submarine

The Ukrainian Navy said that the strike on the Project 636.3 submarine Varshavyanka in Novorossiysk was successful.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, on his Facebook page.

He commented on publications expressing doubts about the success of the strike on the Project 636.3 submarine Varshavyanka.

“Just three facts: with the Rostov-on-Don submarine, “everything was fine” (editor’s note – according to the Russians). After the attack, this is the only submarine that remained in place. The main thing: knowing the mass of the warhead, I can assure you that the fish even in Tsemeska Bay went crazy from the hydroshock. It takes an order of magnitude less to destroy an ordinary ship. I remind you: water is not a gas, it is not compressed. And the underwater torpedo explodes without touching the hull,” said Dmitry Pletenchuk.

We will remind, on December 15, it became known that in the harbor of Novorossiysk, Sub Sea Baby underwater drones hit the submarine of project 636.3 “Varshavyanka”, effectively disabling it.
