Ukrainian OEPs may stop due to russian shelling
As a result of russian terrorist attacks on the energy sector of Ukraine, about 40% of oil extraction plants (OEPs) were affected.
Many areas suffer from lack of power supply. It is currently not possible to fully stabilize the power system. In the event of further attacks on the energy sector, Ukrainian OEPs risk stopping work, Elevatorist reported with reference to Artem Rempen, operations director of the G.R. Agro group of companies.
The risk of blackout significantly reduces the demand for Ukrainian grain. Under the conditions of a long absence of electricity, the elevators have a chance to work – perhaps during the night shift. However, businesses with cyclical production, such as OEPs, will stop. Each stoppage and new launch of the OEP will cost the country at least 100,000 dollars.
