Ukrainian ports exported sunflower oil worth $4.4 billion
Sunflower oil ranks first among export items in the seaports of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Sea Port Authority.
Thus, the total cargo turnover in the ports of Ukraine from the beginning of the year to November 17 amounted to over 86.8 million tons. Grain exports amounted to 53.5 million tons.
The key export items were:
• Sunflower oil: $4.4 billion (5.3 million tons)
• Corn: $4.2 billion (25.5 million tons)
• Wheat: $3.4 billion (19.0 million tons)
“According to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, as of November 17, 2024, Ukraine exported goods worth $36.3 billion, which already exceeds the indicators of the entire last year ($36.2 billion),” the USPA noted.
The department also recalled that the work of ports is complicated by constant risks: Russian aggression, mine threats and military challenges. Despite difficult conditions, Ukrainian ports continue to operate, supporting the country’s export potential.
As previously reported by USM, Austria will allocate an additional 2 million euros to the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
