Ukrainian ports plan to implement ERP systems to digitalize work

USPA and NACP discussed steps to develop anti-corruption mechanisms and implement digital solutions.
This was reported by the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority”.
Head of USPA Oleksandr Semirga met with Deputy Head of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention Serhiy Gupiak. They discussed further steps to develop anti-corruption mechanisms in the activities of USPA and implement digital solutions that reduce corruption risks and increase the level of transparency in the port sector.
“An important stage will be the implementation of an ERP system that will digitize the company’s work and make processes more efficient and controllable. The launch of DocPort is another key step towards transparency: it simplifies logistics, saves time for shipowners and minimizes corruption risks,” said Head of USPA Oleksandr Semirga.
In turn, the Deputy Chairman of the NACP added that digitalization is one of the most effective tools for combating corruption.
“The National Agency is developing best practices and mechanisms for preventing corruption risks in enterprises, and we are ready to provide all the necessary methodological and coordination support in minimizing corruption risks in the activities of the USPA. Your experience is important to us and we are ready to scale it,” Serhiy Gupyak emphasized.
In particular, the USPA reminded that they are implementing a comprehensive program to combat corruption.
“The enterprise is improving internal procedures, conducting training for personnel on financial control, compliance and anti-corruption management. In cooperation with the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), a system of risk management, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of procurement procedures has been introduced. Internal audits are also carried out in areas with increased risks, bidders and partners are checked, and a mechanism for anonymous reports of possible facts of corruption is in operation,” the message says.
