Ukrainian sailors received almost 4,000 documents under the new graduation procedure

After the reform of the graduation procedure, sailors have already received almost 4,000 qualification documents.

Half a year ago, on January 18, the decree on changing the format of seamen’s certification came into force. In total, during this time, Ukrainian sailors received almost 4,000 qualification documents under the new procedure, the head of the Shipping Administration, Yevhenii Ignatenko, said.

In total, about 3,000 people applied for certification to the Shipping Administration in six months. At the same time, only 5% of sailors received a refusal to issue qualification documents.

We remind you that the examination is conducted using the internationally recognized CES 6.0 test. Exam results are issued automatically using the computer testing system, and external influence on the result is impossible.

The main goal of the reform is to reduce corruption risks during attestation in the shipping industry. The updated graduation procedure meets international requirements, primarily the 1978 PDNV Convention.
