Ukrposhta will issue stamps to draw attention to the Black Sea
The new postal issue of Ukrposhta aims to tell about the impact of the war on the Black Sea.
Next Tuesday, June 25, Ukrposhta will present a postal issue under the EUROPA 2024 program “Underwater fauna and flora”, the company’s Facebook page announced.
The release consists of the Stone Crab Eriphia verrucosa and the Red-headed Crab Symphodus tinca.
Ukrposhta noted that they plan to once again inform the world about how the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine affected the Black Sea. In particular, on flora and fauna, as well as Red Book inhabitants of the sea.
Note that the circulation of each postage stamp is 180,000 copies. The artist is Natalia Kohal.
USM previously reported that several hundred dolphins died in the Black Sea in two months. The reason was the activity of enemy submarines and ships near the coast of Crimea.
