UN: Russia can withdraw from the Grain Agreement as early as July 17
As early as July 17, Russia may end its participation in the Grain Agreement, which allows the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through Black Sea ports.
“I am concerned, and we are making every effort to make sure that it will be possible to preserve the Black Sea Initiative and at the same time continue the work on promoting Russian exports,” RBC – Ukraine quoted UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres as saying.
Since the beginning of spring this year, Russia has intensified its threats against the Grain Agreement. Officials of the aggressor country claim that agreements regarding Russian exports are allegedly not being fulfilled.
We previously reported that the Grain Agreement is already operating at less than 20% of its normal capacity due to Russia’s position in the Joint Coordination Center.
