Underdeveloped countries should receive Ukrainian grain first, Erdogan said
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said that agricultural products through the “grain corridor” should first of all go to African countries.
“We want grain to be delivered to countries like Somalia and Djibouti as soon as possible. We will ensure the delivery of grain to all countries in need, especially Somalia, Djibouti and Sudan, which faced a serious food crisis and famine in July,” Haber Turk quoted Erdogan as saying.
According to the Turkish leader, the countries will make efforts to ensure that ships through the “grain corridor” reach African states first of all.
Erdogan also announced his intention to raise the issue of food supplies to African countries at the upcoming G20 summit.
