US ports will help in the restoration of the Odesa port


American partners will help restore Ukraine’s maritime infrastructure — representatives of both countries signed a corresponding memorandum.

This week, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SE “USPA” and the ports of South Louisiana and New Orleans (USA),USPA reported.

On behalf of American colleagues, the agreement was signed by PortSL General Director Paul Matthews, Ukraine was represented by Consul General Vitaliy Tarasyuk.

The memorandum certifies the intentions of the parties to cooperate in the areas of technical planning, development, construction, administration, operation and maintenance of the port infrastructure. Within the framework of the Memorandum, the parties agreed on cooperation with the Odesa Seaport (OF SE “USPA”).

“The United States and Ukraine, being two of the world’s leading exporters of grain, are proud of their role in providing the world with food. This Memorandum cements the support of the Ukrainian people in protecting their freedom and creates an alliance with our Ukrainian partners that focuses on our shared mission to serve customers around the world and create economic prosperity for our communities,” Paul Matthews emphasized.
