USAID is investing over $250 million in the agricultural sector of Ukraine
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) launched the “Harvest” initiative to support Ukrainian farmers.
The initiative was presented by USAID Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman. The campaign is aimed specifically at the “reconstruction and expansion” of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
It is also noted that the American agency is changing its focus on the future needs of Ukraine’s agriculture and will support the diversification of its exports and the production of products with higher added value.
“Vrozhai” will support micro, small and medium grain and oil producers in order to expand their export markets and they could further support Ukraine’s economy,” USAID said.
Coleman also added that the program will aim to increase agricultural exports by an additional $1.5 billion and attract an additional $500 million in private investment.
Previously, USM reported that “Nibulon” received almost 13 million euros from Denmark.
