USPA begins repairs to berths at Reni port

The repair of four berths, which will cost over UAH 12 million, is planned to be completed by the end of the year.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
The work in the port of Reni is being carried out without stopping port activities. The repair of the berths should be completed by the end of 2025.
“The repair involves strengthening structures, replacing damaged metal elements, updating mooring bollards and gangways, installing new wheel-stop devices and applying markings in accordance with current standards,” the USPA said.
The department also emphasized that most of the structures have been in operation since the 1960s–1980s.
According to the results of technical inspections conducted in 2024 by specialists from ChornomorNDIproekt together with the Ukrainian Shipping Register, significant damage to the structures was recorded – cracks, deformations, corrosion of metal elements and other defects that create risks to the safety of mooring operations.
It should be noted that the contractor is the company “Ankor”, which was founded in Odesa in 2002. The company’s revenue for 2024 is UAH 25 million 152 thousand.
During open bidding in the Prozorro system, the company offered its services for UAH 12.1 million.
Earlier, USM reported that the USPA is testing underwater drones to monitor infrastructure in ports.
