USPA begins strategic cooperation with Baltic Sea ports

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority and the Baltic Sea Ports Organization (BPO) have signed a document on strategic cooperation.
This was reported by the USPA.⠀
So, cooperation between the USPA and BPO involves the exchange of best practices in port management, the development of partnership projects in the areas of investment, logistics, energy efficiency and “green” technologies, as well as the implementation of digital solutions to optimize port processes.
The parties will pay special attention to joint training programs and internships for maritime industry specialists, the exchange of experience in the field of public-private partnership and attracting investments in the development of port infrastructure.
The partnership with BPO is an important step towards the integration of Ukrainian ports into the European logistics space. It opens up new opportunities for Ukraine’s participation in joint projects for the restoration and modernization of port infrastructure, the development of sustainable supply routes, digitalization and raising environmental standards.
The Baltic Ports Organization (BPO) is an international association that unites more than 50 ports from the Baltic region. Its mission is to promote the sustainable development of the maritime industry, strengthen partnerships and implement innovative solutions in the port sector.
Earlier, USM reported that the ports of the Great Odesa have handled more than 146 million tons of cargo since the start of the maritime corridor.
