USPA handed over five vehicles to the military to strengthen port protection

The State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration” handed over five vehicles to the “Pivden” PMC involved in the protection of port infrastructure.
This was reported by the USPA press service.
The department recalled that the intensity of shelling of port infrastructure has increased significantly over the past year. In particular, in 2025, the number of attacks increased to 96, despite 36 attacks in 2024.
“At the same time, the scale of destruction is also growing: since the beginning of the full-scale war, 651 port infrastructure facilities have been damaged, of which 325 fall precisely in 2025,” the USPA added.
In conditions of constant attacks, operational mobility and proper technical support of units responsible for port security are becoming critical.
“That is why the USPA, together with the military, is consistently working to strengthen the protection of port infrastructure, in particular in the field of air defense and response to air threats,” the department summarized.
Earlier it became known that the USPA will purchase new fire and rescue vehicles for the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk.
