USPA met with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine

During the meeting, the future reform of the USPA, security challenges for port infrastructure, as well as the concession in the port of Chornomorsk were discussed.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

Representatives of more than 30 member companies of the Chamber joined the discussion.

In particular, the discussion focused on mechanisms for insurance of military risks and ways to increase the predictability of vessel calls to ports; priority investment projects, as well as operational issues, including the provision of towing and pilotage services in seaports.

The Chairman of the USPA, Mykola Kravchuk, noted that a direct and open dialogue with international business is about trust, quick decisions and real interaction, which is critically needed today.

He also emphasized that exports by sea remain one of the key elements of the Ukrainian economy.

“We are counting on further systematic cooperation with American companies – both in the format of regular dialogue and through joint work on specific solutions for the industry. Such interaction allows us to respond faster to challenges and form clear rules of the game for all participants,” emphasized Mykola Kravchuk.
