USPA will have 100% of shipping fees in “Pivdennyi”

In Ukraine, since April 26, the permission for private companies to receive half of the shipping fees in the Pivdennyi seaport has been canceled.

As reported by the НАБУ, NABU press service, on April 26, 2023, the order of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine dated March 14, 2023 No. 148 “On Amendments to the Procedure for the Administration and Rates of Port Fees”, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, entered into force.

“The document cancels the rules that allowed private companies to receive half of the ship dues in the Pivdennyi seaport, as a result of which USPA suffered losses of more than $43 million in the period from 2015 to 2021,” NABU noted.

In particular, it refers to the cancellation of the norms of the order of the Ministry of Infrastructure No. 316 of 27.05.2013, introduced by the order of the Ministry of Infrastructure No. 281 of 24.07.2015. According to it, SE “USPA” received only half of the shipping fees in the “Pivdennyi” port, although in reality it should have received all 100% of the fees as the sole user of the port water area and the water fund lands under it.
