USPA will purchase new fire and rescue vehicles for the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk

The new vehicles will replace equipment that has been in operation for a long time and is physically outdated.

This was повідомила reported by the USPA press service.

In particular, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration is purchasing new fire and rescue vehicles for the Black Sea and Odesa branches through the Prozorro platform.

“In conditions of daily shelling of port infrastructure, the availability of modern and technically sound equipment is critically important,” the agency noted.

The USPA also added that the fire departments of the branches eliminate emergencies not only in the ports, but also outside them in the Odesa region.

“The purchase of rescue equipment is part of the systematic work to strengthen security in ports. When ports are regularly hit, emergency preparedness and rapid response are key to saving people’s lives and minimizing the consequences of attacks,” the agency summarized.

USM previously reported that a Romanian company was again chosen instead of Nibulon in the tender to build a vessel for the USPA.
