Ust-Luga port in Russia catches fire after drone attack

A fire broke out in the Russian port of Ust-Luga after a drone attack at night, and local authorities reported damage.
A fire broke out in the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region of Russia on the night of August 14 after a drone attack. This was reported by Russian media.
“As a result of the damage, a fire was recorded in the port of Ust-Luga. Specialists have started extinguishing the fire. Combat work continues,” wrote the governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko.
An air alert was declared in the region at 02:53. According to Drozdenko, as of 06:21 in the Leningrad region, Russian air defense forces allegedly destroyed 51 drones.
Against the backdrop of the attack, St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport began operating with restrictions at around 03:00 in agreement with the relevant authorities. Delays to individual flights were also reported.
As a reminder, as of early April, at least 30% of the oil tanks at the port of Ust-Luga were damaged as a result of attacks.
