UZ plans to create a representative office at the EU in Brussels

JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” plans to create a representative office at the European Union, which will be located in Brussels.

First of all, the establishment of representation is important in the context of European integration. During the briefing, the director of international offices of Ukrzaliznytsia Oleksandra Vasylenko explained that this will contribute to the fastest possible access and the ability to quickly resolve issues.

“First, it’s the European Union, it’s access to European institutions. Since the issue of both certification and European integration of our company into the European market will require a very large number of contacts in Brussels, with representatives not only of the European Commission, but also with representatives of our partner countries,” Oleksandra Vasylenko explained.

According to her, in addition to the physical representative office of Ukrzaliznytsia in Poland, today there are representatives of the company in various countries, in particular in the Baltic states, in Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova and Romania.

“Today, these are four people who are physically in other countries and there, on the spot, they solve both strategic issues of cooperation and operational issues. If there are problematic moments, such as train delays or emergency situations, they are there to solve it as quickly as possible. Today, of course, Poland is the largest warehouse,” said the director of international offices of Ukrzaliznytsia.
