UZ reduced grain transportation to ports due to russian sabotage of the Grain Agreement

Over the past week, the daily volume of grain export transportation by rail decreased by an average of 2-3 thousand tons per day – to 108 thousand tons/day.

The reason was artificial delays in the registration of ships by representatives of russian federation as part of inspection groups at the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul and a decrease in the efficiency of the “grain corridor”. This was announced by the deputy director of the department of commercial work of the UZ Valery Tkachev, writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“If we compare the current average daily indicators with the indicators of a week ago, we can state a slight decrease in the average daily volume of grain transportation in the export direction: today we transport an average of 108,000 tons per day, while a week ago – 110,000 tons, mainly due to decrease in the volume of transportation to the seaports,” said Tkachev.

According to him, the volume of grain transportation in the direction of overland railway crossings increased by an average of 1 thousand tons per day – almost to 34 thousand tons/day.

In total, in February of this year, UZ already transported more than 2.3 million tons of grain in the export connection.
